I traveled to the IMM International Furniture & Interiors Fair in Cologne, Germany with the company owners and senior merchandising executive to discover potential merchandising opportunities, meet with established and new vendors, order samples of newly designed furniture and decor products, and photograph emerging trends.

In addition to the fabulously styled showrooms complete with Italian cafes, German restaurants, and Danish cocktail hours, my favorite aspect of the market was collecting catalogs and brochures from uniquely European brands for design inspiration. Everything from photography lighting, simplistic stying, layout design, playful copy, typography, and paper texture became the foundation for my new studio mood boards.
